Fall Fashion Trends 2021

We are expecting fall fashion to be chic, city, and a little bit preppy. We’re going to see lots of color, unique prints, and textures this year and I am so happy to have figured out my thrifting routine to fill my wardrobe with 90s and y2k dreams.

We see lots of styles making their come back since the 90s and y2k era.

Fall fashion is giving Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, 90s model off duty type of vibe and I’m so here for it.

I’m so excited to shop this season! I absolutely love cold weather, and lucky me, because styling myself in layers is about be the fall fashion trend. I have so many outfit ideas planned in my head already for this fall. (Follow @realandfrank on IG for fashion inspo!) My favorite trends or must haves for this season I could say, are easy to layer and so fun to thrift for. Fall fashion is already looking so good and I am so excited, so let’s talk about my favorite fall fashion trends.

My 8 fall fashion must-haves:

Boots

Funky, chunky, and unique boots are going to be the IT shoe this Fall. I am loving cowboy boots; they go with everything and not in a yeehaw type of way. We can’t forget about doc martens, and I am a sucker for colorful and textured boots too.

Fur-trim

Fur trim is so chic and city to me, I love a good, oversized coat with the exaggerated trim or the fitted sweaters with fur trim on the collar and wrist.

Sweater Vests

I think sweater vests are so cute if styled correctly. I am picturing a cute, oversized sweater vest over a button up, with a mini skirt, and cowboy boots type of moment in my head right now. I feel like this is such a Serena Van der Woodsen type of vibe and I love it.

Button Ups

I love how button ups can be worn so many ways throughout the seasons. They look so chic styled with jeans or layered under a sweater vest or blazer. Layers are the key idea this season as we style button ups this Fall. I am expecting to see a lot of colorful and printed button ups as well.

Oversized Coats & Blazers

Thank you, fashion Gods, for keeping oversized in season! I am obsessed with pairing oversized leather jackets and blazers with everything. I love trench coats and big winter coats that look so city chic. Coats are going to be fun this Fall with furry/fuzzy interiors and exteriors, fun colors, patterns, and textures.

Suit Sets

Suit sets are so chic, especially monochrome sets. I love neutral-colored suits because they can be styled up or down, but I definitely need to get my hands on a pastel pink set.

Vintage beaded/Textured handbags

Act on this trend quick because I’ve been collecting mine from the thrift store all this past summer. They are usually small and don’t hold much, but they are perfect for dinner or a night out. Beaded vintage handbags are so chic and unique, and I am so excited to see all the beautiful bags people find.

Tights

Expect to see lots of tights this Fall. Expect this time with different designs, prints, and colors. Tights are gaining a little bit more personality this year and I’m excited to see all the different ways they are styled.
