Maui Diaries part 2

Day 7
My sister and I woke up late Monday morning, but that was okay because it was a content day! We chose outfits and then got ourselves ready. The Four Seasons Wailea is so photogenic! The resort had so many great places to take pictures that we took pics in different locations all over the hotel for each look. We filmed Tiktoks and made lots of good content, so it was a successful morning! Lunch was from Island Gourmet Market, in the big Wailea outdoor mall. This market has the best avocado cucumber sushi rolls, spam musubi, and fresh pre-cut fruit. Their deli also has so many choices to order (sandwiches, salads, ube pancakes, and so much more). After eating our lunch on the beach, we swam in the infinity pool and ordered mojitos from the poolside bar as we watched the sunset. For dinner, we stuck around the hotel and had drinks and a tapas style dinner in the lobby lounge. We ordered a weird combination of food (garden vegetable roll, spicy edamame, and french fries), but it was all so delicious.
Day 8
We began our Tuesday up early and out on the beach at 7am. I don’t understand how we managed to do that, but I was up at 6:30am. The Four Seasons had complimentary beach tanning beds with umbrellas, so we relaxed and swam at the beach until noon. We then went to a pineapple plantation which was so amazing, just acres of pineapples. Our tour provided us each with a pack of fresh pineapples to bring back to the mainland, so we got to bring 8 pineapples home, and boy they were juicy and delicious.
After the pineapple plantation, we had lunch from a food truck park that had so many different options. I shamelessly was craving a non-vegan hot dog and ordered myself one before my mom noticed there was a vegan food truck. She got an amazing Asian teriyaki bowl and my sister got the Mexican chikn street tacos. The vegan food truck (Earth Aloha Eats) also had vegan crème brûlée, which my mom reminisces about almost every day. After our late lunch we went to the ʻĪao Valley State Monument which ended up being waterfalls, but no water. I recall someone saying it hadn’t been raining as much so the waterfalls stopped, but there were so many mini pools to lounge in. That night we had dinner at Duo, a garden restaurant at the Four Seasons. I had the cauliflower rice biryani, and my mom tried the vegetable curry laksa, both vegan dishes. They were all right but nothing special. The vegan chocolate avocado mousse made up for our entrees though. My sister had the truffle mac and cheese, which of course was delicious, my dad had a filet mignon, and we all shared brussel sprouts and the truffle milk bread which was all *chef’s kiss*. We ended our night on the balcony, watching the new season of the Bachelorette.
Final Maui Diaries part 3 next week! xx
