Maui Diaries part 3

Day 9
Days spent being lazy at the hotel are my favorite type of vacation days. I am unfortunately a lazy girl, and I am satisfied by just lying in a hotel room all day long. Fortunately for me, we had no plans for Wednesday. My sister and I started our morning at the beach 7am sharp. We swam, tanned, and made Tiktoks all morning until we called a car to pick us up for lunch. The car took us back to the Island Gourmet Market where we got avocado sushi rolls, spam musubi, fresh fruit, and my sister also had a custom sandwich made. I highly recommend checking out this market for freshly made breakfasts, lunches, and the best snacks. For the rest of the afternoon, my sister and I hung out in a poolside cabana with fries and mojitos on deck. And tonight, was the night that my family and I found the best restaurant on earth, ✨Wailea Kitchen ✨. This restaurant had meat for my dad and so many vegan options as well. Chef Christopher sources local and organic produce, fish, and meats from local families on the islands. Most of his dishes were plant based and non-dairy but he also served many additional meat options that my dad enjoyed. I am so happy to know that a restaurant my entire family loves exists, but unfortunately this place is a 5-hour plane ride away. If you are ever on Maui, Wailea Kitchen is an amazing restaurant that you MUST try!
Day 10
Our last full day on Maui began on the beach. We swam and snorkeled all morning and drank iced coffees with croissants from the beachside café. After our morning at the beach, we drove into town to hunt down all the li-hing sour candies. FYI, Longs Drugs has a whole section of li-hing candy and they even sell bags of the seasoning too. We stocked up on our newfound obsessions and picked up other snacks to bring back home, then stopped by the Island Gourmet Market for lunch. We relaxed on our balcony, made Tiktoks, took grad pics on the beach, and watched the sunset before calling our car for dinner. Because it was our last night, we went to Wailea Kitchen one last time, to try more vegan dishes from Chef Christopher. We got the vegan nachos, a MUST try, a beyond beef kitchen burger, vegan pasta alfredo, and of course one last vegan cheesecake. The food was an amazing meal to end our Maui trip. Please, if you are ever in Wailea, Maui, have a meal at Wailea Kitchen, I am 99% certain you won’t regret it.
Day 11
Friday was a sad day, but we woke up early for one last morning swim in the ocean and a saltwater facial lol. Everyone knows your skin clears and glows from the ocean and that is the worst part about vacation coming to an end. Maui is such a beautiful island, and I cannot wait to visit again. I have made the best memories exploring with my family, and of course, the food from Wailea Kitchen is a family fan favorite.
I think we can conclude that I 100% recommend Wailea Kitchen and Island Gourmet Market, if you are ever in Wailea, Maui. lol
